IDFC FIRST Bank added a ₹5,000/month minimum spend condition to the Wealth card's unlimited domestic lounge access starting March 2025.
IDFC FIRST Bank updated the lounge access terms for the FIRST Wealth credit card effective March 2025. Previously offering truly unlimited domestic lounge visits with zero conditions, the bank has added a soft gating mechanism.
Effective March 2025: - Cardholders must spend at least ₹5,000 in the previous calendar month to be eligible for complimentary domestic lounge access in the current month - If the spend condition is unmet, lounge visits are charged at ₹750 + GST per visit - International lounge access (4 visits/year via Priority Pass) remains unconditional
The ₹5,000 monthly spend threshold is among the lowest in the industry and should be achievable for active cardholders, but it marks a philosophical shift from IDFC's previously no-strings-attached approach.
The FIRST Select card, a step below the Wealth, retains unconditional lounge access for now (8 domestic visits per year).
