HDFC's flagship metal card gets a refresh in early 2026 — updated partner transfer ratios, new hotel program partnerships, and a fee structure change.
HDFC Bank relaunched the Infinia Metal credit card in January 2026 with several updates designed to compete with the new wave of Indian super-premium cards.
Fee changes: - Annual fee increased from ₹10,000 to ₹12,500 + GST - Joining fee now ₹12,500 (was ₹10,000) - Fee waiver at ₹10L annual spend (unchanged)
Reward updates: - Base earn maintained at 5 HDFC Reward Points per ₹150 spent - New: 2× multiplier on hotel bookings made via HDFC SmartBuy - New: ITC Hotels transfer partner added at 1:1 ratio (HDFC points to ITC Culinaire points) - Marriott Bonvoy transfer ratio improved to 1:2 (HDFC:Bonvoy)
Lounge changes: - Unlimited domestic lounge access retained — no spend condition - Priority Pass international: now 6 visits/quarter (up from 4)
Our take: The fee hike is steep but the Marriott improvement and ITC Hotels addition are meaningful for luxury hotel loyalists. If you stay at ITC or Marriott 4+ times a year, the new Infinia Metal could justify its fee increase.
